Gravel Pike House Fire

At 16:50 hours this evening, while clearing from a Woods/Field Fire in Upper Frederick Township, Station 52 and Mutual-aid companies were dispatched to the 1000 block of the township for a Dwelling Fire. Lower Frederick Township Police arrived first confirming a working fire, prompting additional resources to be dispatched. Engine & Ladder 52 arrived, assuming the first due engine and truck responsibilities respectively, beginning fire attack, throwing ladders for egress, and opening up searching for extension. Mutual aid companies assisted with additional tasks before making themselves available. The fire is under investigation by the Lower Frederick Township Fire Marshal, alongside Regional Fire Investigation Team 1 (RFIT-1). Crews also responded to 2 additional calls for service. Engine 52 responded as a part of the tanker-task-force to Salford Township, assisting Tylersport Fire Company, the engine was diverted to the scene, and cleared shortly after. Prior to the Dwelling, Engine and Field 52 also assisted Upper Frederick Fire Company on a Woods/Field Fire in the 1000 block of Perkiomenville Road.
