Thursday Night Training: Rural Water Supply at Station 83

Thursday Evening, Engine 52 traveled to Worcester Volunteer Fire Department to participate in a water supply drill involving the use of tankers, a method used when fire hydrants are not present in more rural areas.
Station 52, with Engine 52, serves as one of the fill engines on the tanker task force. These engines are responsible for responding to a positive water source, and establishing a site for tankers to be filled. Tankers then shuttle water between this site and the dump site, usually much closer to the scene. There are many zones of Lower Frederick Township that do not have fire hydrants, where this operation would be used.

We would like to thank Station 83 for the invite to attend this valuable training.
