Minutes after 0100 this morning (November 1st, 2026), Upper Frederick Fire Company and automatic aid companies, including Engine & Ladder 52, were dispatched to the 500 block of Krause Rd, Upper Frederick Township, for a reported dwelling fire. Chief 87 (Upper Frederick) arrived first, confirming a working fire prompting additional resources to be requested and dispatched.

Ladder 52 arrived first, and identified searchable space throughout the home. For the second time within 24 hours, the manpower split initiating fire attack and a primary search. Due to deteriorating conditions, the building was tactically evacuated, and a temporary transition to defensive operations occurred.

Following the transition, companies transitioned back to offensive operations in an attempt to gain control of the fire. Throughout this operation, conditions continued to deteriorate eventually resulting in a firefighter emergency. Ladder 52’s crew assisted in searching and ensuring a safe removal, who was evaluated by Plymouth Ambulance. At this point, command permanently evacuated the building, placing Ladder 52’s ladder pipe in service to extinguish the fire. Engine 52’s manpower also assisted with various engine company tasks throughout the fire. Chief 52 assisted with command level functions throughout the operations.

Companies remained on location throughout the early morning hours, eventually clearing and returning apparatus and equipment into service. This was the second working fire for Station 52 within 24 hours.
