Mark F. Wells of Schwenksville passed away on Wednesday. Officer Wells was a graduate of Methacton High School. He began his employment with Lower Providence Township in June 1989 as a police dispatcher. Mark was sworn in as a police officer with Lower Providence Township in July 2000. Mark received the department's highest award, the Commendation for Valor, and numerous letters of commendation for his actions over the course of his career. He had previously served as a volunteer firefighter with Lower Providence Volunteer Fire Company, as well as a volunteer with the Lower Providence Ambulance.
