Schwenksville/Spring Mount residents experienced a power outage Sunday morning. High winds caused a tree to snap and fall into the substation's transmission wires. Stations 52 & 73 responded to the call and verified that there was no hazard to life or property where the tree was resting on the wires. Residents had to wait till crews from the electric company could safely remove the tree from the wires and restore power to the grid.
