| Thursday Evening, LFFC crews returned to training alongside our partners from Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company. This training focused on vehicle accidents with less common, but more critical rescue scenarios. These included an impaled subject, vehicle roll-over entrapping a limb, and finally a vehicle that rolled over onto a patient, entrapping them underneath the vehicle. These incidents are less common, but often require specialized equipment, skills, and rapid extrication of potentially critical patients.
Prior to training, Engine and Chief 52, along with Engine 78 (Upper Salford) handled an Electrical Fire Outside in the 100 block of Bavington Road. Companies were in service for approximately 1 hour, standing by for Peco and extinguishing the involved tree. |
