At 11:15 am, Monday (June 22nd, 2026), Jefferson Fire Company (Station 46) and mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 2000 Block of Industry Lane, West Norriton Township for a commercial building fire. Initial arriving companies were met with heavy smoke and turbulent fire conditions. Shortly after arrival, due to rapidly degrading conditions and structural instability, the fire shifted to a defensive mode of attack. The incident quickly grew to four alarms. Due to complex water supply challenges, command would eventually request the Large Diameter Hose (LDH) strike team to the scene, in an effort to secure a water supply from a separate system farther away.

With fire conditions still not under control and additional water supply required, command requested the tanker task force be dispatched to the scene. At 14:15 hours, Engine 52 was dispatched, along with Engine 75 (Telford), to assist on the task force. The engines were assigned to assist with a fill site at Norriton Fire Engine Company's Station 61B, along Germantown Pike. North Penn Volunteer Fire Company's Engine 62-1 had already established a site, but required additional manpower and equipment. In conjunction with these engines, Engine 52 (crew of 6) operated for several hours filling tankers from various Montgomery and Chester County Companies.

Tanker task force units have since cleared the scene with relief crews remaining on scene throughout the evening and night assisting. We would like to thank The Energy Drink for providing refreshments for our crews while they operated.

This was the third call of the day for Station 52. Prior to assisting Station 46, Engine 52, Squad 89 (Harleysville), and Upper Salford (Station 78), were dispatched to a Vehicle Accident with Rescue in Upper Salford Township. Squad 78 arrived, reporting no extrication or fire services required, and held the response to themselves. Additionally, Engine 52 handled a Carbon Monoxide Alarm in the 100 Block of Berger Rd, Lower Frederick Township. Engine 78 (Upper Salford) was also dispatched, and recalled prior to arrival.
