Thursday Night Stations 52 and 78 joined together to continue training utilizing different cutting methods and equipment while operating on flat roofs. They also utilized the time to practice using rotary saws to cut rebar, gaining experience operating a rotary saw in various positions, and cutting locks for forcible entry.
Early October, under the coordination of Captain Kelly, members gathered to repurpose posts from our previous training tower, and ultimately constructed a flat roof prop. This brings our training props to now include both flat and pitched roofs, allowing us to host these trainings right beside our firehouse. Thank you to Worcester Fire Company for their ideas, and Skippack Fire Company for the use of Hi-Lift Jacks assisting in the construction. |
