Chief 87 (Upper Frederick) arrived first, confirming a working fire prompting additional resources to be requested and dispatched.

Ladder 52 arrived first, and identified searchable space throughout the home. For the second time within 24 hours, the manpower split initiating fire attack and a primary search. Due to deteriorating conditions, the building was tactically evacuated, and a temporary transition to defensive operations occurred.

At this point, command permanently evacuated the building, placing Ladder 52’s ladder pipe in service to extinguish the fire. Engine 52’s manpower also assisted with various engine company tasks throughout the fire. Chief 52 assisted with command level functions throughout the operations.

Companies remained on location throughout the early morning hours, eventually clearing and returning apparatus and equipment into service. This was the second working fire for Station 52 within 24 hours.
